Kristine Ann Cummings, Esq.
Kristine Ann Cummings brings nearly 15 years of family law and probate litigation experience to Turco Legal. As a seasoned trial attorney, she manages an extensive caseload of domestic relations matters. These matters include actions for divorce, custody, child support, paternity, modification, contempt and guardianship, as well as fiduciary litigation of trust and estate matters. Attorney Cummings also regularly handles cases involving domestic violence and restraining orders.
A Certified Financial Litigator with Experience in Complex Financial Matters
Attorney Cummings is a Certified Financial Litigator (“CFL”), having obtained her accreditation from the American Academy of Certified Financial Litigators (“AACFL”). Membership in the AACFL is reserved for an elite group of practitioners especially dedicated to meeting the highest standards of financial representation and of ethical practice. Given her CFL designation and advanced training, Attorney Cummings manages cases involving particularly complex financial matters and tax issues. Drawing on her broad-ranging case experience, Attorney Cummings is skilled at working with various financial experts such as business valuation experts and real estate appraisers.
A Leader in the Legal Community
Attorney Cummings is not only a zealous advocate for her clients in and out of the courtroom, she is also a strong leader in the legal community. She is actively involved in various bar associations such as the Massachusetts Bar Association, the Boston Bar Association, and the Women’s Bar Association. Moreover, Attorney Cummings has held leadership roles in all three of the aforementioned, thus demonstrating a commitment to the betterment of the legal community. She regularly serves as a lecturer and panelist for legal education programs such as Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education, Inc.
Furthermore, Attorney Cummings remains active with her alma mater, Boston College Law School. She mentors first-year law students, providing them with the sage guidance and advice that only a seasoned and skilled attorney can offer. Additionally, Attorney Cummings has served as an advocacy judge for the American Bar Association’s Law Student Division Negotiation Competition.
A Passion for Pro Bono Work and Volunteerism
Attorney Cummings’ commitment to service is not limited to the legal profession, however. In fact, she has provided countless hours of pro bono legal assistance to those who could not afford to hire an attorney. Specifically, Attorney Cummings has represented victims of domestic violence through her work with the Women’s Bar Foundation. She has also provided legal assistance to litigants through her work with the Volunteer Lawyers Project of the Boston Bar Association.
Attorney Cummings’ passion for volunteerism extends to the community in which she lives as well. A Boston resident, she is a member of the Junior League of Boston and the Beacon Hill Civic Association. Attorney Cummings also serves on the Outreach Commission of St. Ignatius Parish. An avid sailor, she further volunteers her time at Community Boating, Inc.
Since 2010, Attorney Cummings has been recognized annually by Boston Magazine as a “Massachusetts Super Lawyers Rising Star” in the area of family law. She has maintained an AV® Preeminent™ Peer Review Rating in the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory since 2011 and is rated 10.0 on Avvo.
