Crystal M. Maldonado, Esq.

Partner in Charge, New Hampshire

Crystal M. Maldonado is a family law attorney who guides individuals and families through some of life’s most challenging legal transitions. Her practice focuses exclusively on domestic relations matters, including divorce, parenting disputes, child support, alimony, post-divorce modifications, relocation, guardianship, domestic violence, adoption, surrogacy, and complex custody matters. Throughout every stage of a case, Crystal combines thoughtful counsel with strong courtroom advocacy to help clients make informed decisions while protecting what matters most to them.

A Thoughtful, Strategic Approach

With nearly two decades of experience practicing family law, Crystal understands that every family faces unique circumstances. She works closely with clients to develop practical legal strategies tailored to their individual goals, whether through negotiated resolution, mediation, or litigation when necessary. Her approach emphasizes clear communication, careful preparation, and steady guidance so clients understand both the legal process and the options available to them.

Crystal has represented clients in matters involving high-conflict custody disputes, parental rights, relocation cases, grandparent visitation, guardianships, termination of parental rights, prenuptial agreements, and post-divorce enforcement proceedings. While she believes many family law matters benefit from negotiated solutions, she is an experienced trial attorney who advocates confidently when litigation becomes necessary.

Teaching and Leadership in Family Law

In addition to her legal practice, Crystal has served as an adjunct professor of family law at the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law for more than a decade. She regularly presents continuing legal education programs for attorneys on a broad range of family law topics, including adoption, ethics, prenuptial agreements, child support, and trial practice. Her commitment to education reflects her dedication to advancing both the practice of family law and the legal profession.

Crystal’s work has earned recognition from several respected legal organizations. She has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America® for Family Law since 2021 and has also received recognition from Super Lawyers®, the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys, and the National Academy of Family Law Attorneys for her professional achievement and client service.

Education, Community, and Background

A New Hampshire native, Crystal earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Relations from Stonehill College before receiving her Juris Doctor from the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law as a Daniel Webster Honors Scholar.
