Careers at Turco Legal

Build a Career, Not Just a Job

At Turco Legal, we believe exceptional client service begins with exceptional people. Every member of our team, from our attorneys and paralegals to our legal assistants and administrative professionals, plays an important role in helping individuals and families navigate some of the most significant moments of their lives.

Divorce and family law is intellectually challenging, emotionally demanding, and incredibly rewarding. We are proud to have built a firm where talented legal professionals can do meaningful work while enjoying the support, technology, mentorship, and collaborative environment necessary to build long, successful careers.

Whether you are an experienced attorney looking for your next chapter, a solo practitioner ready to focus exclusively on practicing law, an associate attorney eager to develop your litigation skills, an accomplished paralegal, or a law student exploring a future in family law, we invite you to learn more about what makes Turco Legal different.

Why Professionals Join Turco Legal

People rarely change employers simply for a different office or a different paycheck. They move because they are looking for greater opportunities, stronger leadership, better resources, more interesting work, and an environment where they can continue growing professionally.

That is the environment we have intentionally created.

Our practice is devoted exclusively to divorce and family law. This singular focus allows every member of our team to develop deep subject matter expertise while working on sophisticated and meaningful matters involving divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, property division, guardianships, adoptions, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, domestic violence, paternity, and other complex family law issues.

Equally important is our culture. We believe collaboration produces better legal work than competition. Our attorneys and staff support one another, share ideas freely, celebrate successes together, and continually look for ways to improve both the client experience and the employee experience.

Continuous Learning and Professional Development

No attorney graduates from law school knowing how to become an exceptional family law practitioner. Likewise, no experienced attorney ever reaches a point where there is nothing left to learn.

Professional development is part of our culture. We encourage continuing legal education, bar association involvement, leadership opportunities, legal writing, speaking engagements, mentorship, and thoughtful adoption of new technology. Our investment in our people ultimately benefits our clients.

Technology That Supports Great Lawyers

Technology should make practicing law easier, not more complicated.

We continually invest in modern legal technology that allows our attorneys and staff to spend more time serving clients and less time performing repetitive administrative tasks. Our systems support collaboration across multiple offices, streamline communication, improve document management, simplify scheduling, and enhance the overall client experience.

Rather than resisting change, we actively embrace technology that helps our professionals become even more effective.

Who We’re Looking For

Lateral Partners and Senior Attorneys

Experienced attorneys often reach a point where they want to devote more of their time to practicing law and less time to navigating administrative burdens.

We welcome conversations with accomplished family law attorneys who bring experience, leadership, sound judgment, and perspective. Some lateral attorneys also bring established referral relationships or an existing client base they wish to continue serving within a larger, well-supported organization. While an established book of business is certainly welcomed, it is not required. We recognize that every attorney’s career has followed a different path and evaluate each opportunity individually.

Joining Turco Legal allows experienced attorneys to focus on developing legal strategy, representing clients, mentoring younger lawyers, and continuing to build outstanding careers within a collaborative and growing organization.

Solo Practitioners and Small Firm Teams

Many outstanding family law attorneys own or work within solo and small firm practices. While these environments offer independence, they also require attorneys to become business owners in addition to practicing law.

Payroll, human resources, billing, collections, accounting, trust accounting, recruiting, marketing, technology, cybersecurity, vendor management, compliance, office administration, facilities management, and countless other responsibilities consume valuable time that could otherwise be devoted to clients.

Turco Legal was built to remove those burdens.

By joining our firm, solo practitioners and small firm teams can continue practicing family law while leaving nearly all of the administrative responsibilities of operating a law practice behind. Our attorneys benefit from experienced operational support, modern technology, dedicated administrative professionals, established marketing, robust billing systems, and sophisticated practice management infrastructure.

Instead of managing a business, our attorneys are free to focus on becoming the very best family law professionals they can be.

Associate Attorneys

We are passionate about developing the next generation of outstanding family law attorneys.

Our associate attorneys range from newly admitted lawyers through attorneys in the early years of practice. They receive meaningful responsibility while benefiting from the mentorship and guidance of a predominantly senior legal team, most of whom have more than ten years of family law experience.

Unlike many firms, we recognize that becoming an exceptional lawyer requires intentional learning. Associates receive billable hour credit for qualifying non-billable time devoted exclusively to developing the knowledge, judgment, and practical skills necessary to become outstanding family law attorneys. Training, mentorship, legal education, and professional development are viewed as investments rather than distractions from practice.

Associates who are intellectually curious, hardworking, collaborative, and committed to excellence will find exceptional opportunities for long-term growth.

Paralegals and Legal Support Professionals

Exceptional family law practices are built by exceptional legal support professionals.

We seek experienced family law paralegals and legal assistants who understand the procedures, deadlines, court practices, and client service expectations unique to family law. The strongest candidates have devoted their recent and long-term careers to supporting family law attorneys and are looking to continue building that expertise.

We value professionals who are proactive, detail-oriented, technologically proficient, organized, and committed to providing outstanding service to both clients and colleagues.

Law Students

Our profession depends upon developing exceptional future lawyers.

We welcome law students who have demonstrated a genuine commitment to family law through their coursework, clinical experience, judicial internships, legal internships, or prior work supporting family law attorneys.

Candidates who have taken family law courses, participated in family law clinics, interned with Probate and Family Courts, or worked in legal services organizations or private family law practices often arrive with a strong foundation upon which to build.

More important than any résumé is a demonstrated passion for family law, intellectual curiosity, professionalism, and a willingness to learn.

Lead Our Expansion into New Markets

Turco Legal is actively expanding throughout New England and is seeking experienced family law attorneys who are excited by the opportunity to help establish and grow our presence in new markets. We are currently exploring opportunities in Vermont, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Maine and welcome confidential conversations with attorneys who are interested in playing a leadership role in our continued growth.

This opportunity is ideal for entrepreneurial attorneys who enjoy building relationships, developing a practice, and helping shape the future of a law firm, but who would rather focus on practicing law than managing the day-to-day responsibilities of running a business. By joining Turco Legal, attorneys benefit from an experienced administrative and operational team that handles marketing, recruiting, human resources, accounting, billing and collections, information technology, cybersecurity, compliance, facilities, and other business operations. Our attorneys are free to focus on what they do best: delivering exceptional client service, developing legal strategy, mentoring colleagues, and growing their practice.

Whether you are a solo practitioner looking to join a larger organization, a partner at a small firm seeking greater resources, or an experienced family law attorney interested in leading the launch of a new office, we would welcome the opportunity to speak with you. We are looking for attorneys who are committed to excellence, value collaboration, and are excited to help build one of New England’s premier family law firms.

If you are licensed in Vermont, Connecticut, Rhode Island, or Maine and would like to explore how you can help lead Turco Legal’s expansion into your market, we invite you to contact us for a confidential conversation.
