Brian Waller, Esq.
Senior Attorney II
Brian Waller began practicing law in 2012. An experienced family law litigator, Attorney Waller represents clients in divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, marital estate division, and paternity matters. He also represents divorce and family law clients in modification and contempt actions.
Attorney Waller is admitted to practice law in Massachusetts and the United States District Court.
A Deeper Understanding of Nuanced Financial Matters
Waller is a Certified Financial Litigator (“CFL”) who obtained his accreditation from the American Academy for Certified Financial Litigators (“AACFL”).* AACFL members commit to enhancing their legal practice (and the profession) through advanced financial education. Waller has accordingly completed rigorous training in the financial aspects of litigation. Training topics included, among others: asset valuation, accounting, investments, taxation, and complex compensation structures. He has also passed a certification exam evaluating his knowledge and understanding.
In addition to completing robust CFL training, Waller has extensive real-world experience managing financial matters that often arise in divorce and family law. He has successfully resolved financially complex cases involving business valuation, stock and other equity compensation, pensions and other deferred compensation, and real estate. Given his extensive experience and advanced CFL training, Waller is efficient in his approach and brings enhanced credibility to both negotiations and litigation.
Client-Centric Approach
Attorney Waller prides himself on supporting his clients—from business owners to executives to stay-at-home parents—through their divorce and family law matters, and having a tailored and empathetic approach to his representation. Waller knows divorce and family law cases can be emotional and stressful. So, he takes care to view every case from the client’s perspective. Attorney Waller aims to be the trusted legal advocate clients can rely on by addressing each client’s unique needs and making the legal process transparent and accessible.
Philosophy on Dispute Resolution
Believing that litigation should be a last resort, Waller emphasizes direct, constructive communication with the other party as the optimal path for resolving disputes. He is unafraid to advise clients that they are better off handling an issue themselves if the situation calls for it.
Self-resolution is not always possible, however. When communication outside the courtroom proves fruitless, Attorney Waller is prepared to zealously advocate for his clients through the litigation process.
