While she is fully equipped to take a case to trial, Attorney Fay excels in negotiating and resolving cases outside the courtroom.
Decades of Divorce and Family Law Experience
Attorney Fay began her legal career at a boutique law firm in Boston. She later transitioned to New Hampshire and ultimately focused her practice on divorce and family law matters. In 2022, Attorney Fay returned to Massachusetts where she practices family law exclusively.
Driven by a strong sense of justice and fairness, Attorney Fay carefully selected family law as her practice area. She aims to help and guide her clients through challenging times with legal astuteness and the utmost care and understanding.
Certified Financial Litigator: Specialized Training in Complex Financial Matters
Attorney Fay is a member of the American Academy for Certified Financial Litigators (“AACFL”), from which she earned her Certified Financial Litigator (“CFL”) designation.* The AACFL explains that AACFL membership “is reserved for an elite group of practitioners dedicated to meeting the highest standards of financial representation and of ethical practice.” To obtain the CFL designation, a litigator must first complete a comprehensive course of study covering the financial aspects of litigation. Then, the litigator must pass a certification exam that evaluates their knowledge and understanding.
Financial matters are often central in a divorce or family law case. An attorney’s knowledge and ability to navigate the sometimes complicated financial aspects of a family law matter can make all the difference in the outcome. Although most seasoned family law attorneys manage financial issues in their cases, Attorney Fay’s CFL designation sets her apart.
Through her CFL accreditation, Attorney Fay has proven that she has a deeper understanding of the complex financial matters that may arise in a divorce or family law case. In fact, her specialized CFL training has prepared her to efficiently and successfully resolve cases involving asset and business valuation, accounting, investments, taxation, and complex compensation structures.
