Senior Attorney
Professional Background
Jasmine Elatab is a seasoned family law attorney with more than a decade of experience handling complex, high-conflict divorces and other domestic relations matters. Her practice focuses on divorce, custody disputes, post-judgment modifications, and restraining order proceedings, particularly in cases involving heightened conflict, safety concerns, and emotionally challenging circumstances.
Jasmine is known for her confident courtroom presence, strategic litigation skills, and thoughtful, client-centered approach. She brings a steady, practical perspective to matters that often require both strong advocacy and careful attention to the personal realities facing families in transition.
Legal Experience
Before joining Turco Legal as a Senior Attorney, Jasmine held a leadership role within a nonprofit legal organization, where she supervised attorneys and staff, managed departmental operations, and represented clients in family law litigation and restraining order hearings. Her work included developing internal policies, overseeing compliance and reporting, and collaborating with community partners on legal education initiatives.
Earlier in her career, Jasmine founded and operated her own family law practice, representing clients in contested divorce and custody matters from initial pleadings through trial. She regularly engaged in negotiation and mediation and managed all aspects of firm operations, including staff supervision and administrative oversight.
Jasmine began her legal career as a certified student attorney in a law school family advocacy clinic, where she appeared in probate court, drafted pleadings, and assisted clients with divorce, custody, child support, and abuse prevention matters. During this time, she worked collaboratively with social work professionals to support clients navigating complex legal and personal challenges.
Education
Jasmine earned her Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School, where she served as Vice President of the Child and Family Student Association. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, with a minor in Justice, from American University, graduating with academic honors and membership in the Psychology National Honor Society.
