Akosua Agyepong, Esq.

Senior Attorney II

Akosua Agyepong has been a divorce and family law litigator since 2018 when she was sworn into the Massachusetts bar. She represents clients in domestic relations matters, including divorce, alimony, marital estate division, child support and custody, and guardianship. She also handles contempt actions and modifications in divorce and family cases.

A Passion for Representing Family Law Clients

Since she began her litigation career, Attorney Agyepong has focused her practice on divorce and family matters. Understanding the urgency and vulnerability that family law matters often incite, Agyepong is committed not only to resolving the legal aspects of her cases but also to supporting her clients through the inevitable emotional challenges. She emphasizes client education through the course of her representation, ensuring her clients understand the legal process and can anticipate potential outcomes every step of the way.

Unique Perspective: ARC Attorney

Attorney Agyepong serves as pro bono Attorney Representing Children (“ARC”) counsel through the Worcester Probate and Family Court. In this role, she represents children, at no cost, in high-conflict family law cases.

Agyepong’s work as an ARC attorney provides unique insights into the court’s perspective on the needs of children in divorce and family law cases. This, in turn, enhances her ability to effectively represent parents facing child custody and parenting time issues. Relying on her experience, Agyepong is able to craft tailored strategies that prioritize her clients’ goals and foster the well-being of the children involved.

Other Notable Pro Bono & Community Contributions

In addition to her work as ARC counsel, Agyepong actively contributes to her community and the legal profession in other ways. She volunteers with Community Legal Aid in Worcester, assisting clients in family law matters through the Worcester Probate and Family Court lawyer for the day program and the UMass Memorial Healthcare Medical-Legal Partnership. In 2024, the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court Standing Committee on Pro Bono Legal Services recognized Attorney Agyepong for this work, awarding her a prestigious Adams Pro Bono Publico Award.

Attorney Agyepong is also a member of the Worcester County Bar Association and the Massachusetts Bar Association (“MBA”). At the MBA, Agyepong co-chairs the Judicial Youth Corps program in Worcester, mentoring high school students interested in the legal field. Moreover, she is a Fellow and Trustee of the Massachusetts Bar Foundation and volunteers with local organizations and her church in various capacities.
