Devon A. Moran, Esq.
Associate Attorney I
Professional Background
Devon serves family law clients as an Associate Attorney after many years as a family law paralegal, including her most recent role as Senior Paralegal at Turco Legal. Her extensive background in complex case management, legal drafting, client coordination, and litigation support provides a strong foundation for her work as an attorney. Devon’s deep familiarity with Massachusetts family law practice—and with Turco Legal’s standards of preparation, communication, and advocacy—allows her to deliver steady, detail-driven, and effective representation to the clients she serves.
During law school, Devon remained active in student leadership, serving as the Women’s Law Caucus Evening Liaison and participating in the 1L Mentorship Program. Her academic achievement is reflected in her consistent placement on the Dean’s List throughout her final years of law school. Devon’s combined academic strengths and extensive professional experience reflect her commitment to thorough legal analysis, client advocacy, and ethical representation.
Legal Experience
Devon brings years of experience supporting domestic relations, civil litigation, municipal matters, zoning and land use, and limited criminal matters. Prior to becoming an attorney, she worked for several years in a Massachusetts general practice firm with a strong family law focus, where she prepared pleadings, drafted agreements, assisted with corporate entity matters, conducted legal research, and managed complex case materials.
Her experience also includes several years supporting a municipal law department, where she assisted in litigation involving code enforcement, receivership matters in Housing Court, and zoning disputes. This unique combination of private practice and municipal experience strengthened her ability to navigate diverse legal issues and regulatory processes.
Devon’s legal background is further informed by her work as a judicial intern, where she observed court proceedings and prepared research memoranda, as well as her earlier internship work conducting legal research and ordinance drafting for a municipal council.
Education
Devon earned her J.D. from New England Law | Boston, where she served as Evening Liaison for the Women’s Law Caucus and participated in the school’s mentorship program. She earned Dean’s List honors in every semester from Fall 2023 through Spring 2025.
She graduated from Fitchburg State University with a B.S. in Political Science, concentrating in American Government and Law, where she was an active member of both the Moot Court and Mock Trial teams.
Devon also holds a Paralegal Certificate from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
Leadership & Community Involvement
Devon has been actively involved in her professional community for many years. She has volunteered as a judge for the American Moot Court Association since 2018 and previously served as a volunteer clerk and assistant to the president of a regional bar association. Her volunteer service reflects a long-term commitment to mentorship, legal education, and professional development.
Approach to Family Law
Devon brings an organized, calm, and detail-oriented approach to the practice of family law. With years of experience preparing complex case materials and supporting litigation across multiple practice areas, she approaches each client matter with meticulous preparation and clear communication. She values transparency, compassion, and practical guidance in helping clients navigate some of life’s most challenging transitions.
Turco Legal’s “Justice for All Program”
As part of her developing caseload, Devon represents clients through Turco Legal’s “Justice for All Program.” At Turco Legal, we recognize that family law matters significantly affect emotional, financial, and personal stability—and yet nearly 80% of family court litigants face these challenges without legal support. The “Justice for All Program” expands access to representation through reduced-fee services for eligible clients. Devon is committed to advancing this mission by providing thoughtful, effective, and compassionate advocacy to every JFA client she serves.
